Yore Privacy Policy
Yore is built as a local-first personal media tracker. The main library data, logs, diary entries, categories, collections, franchises, and most app state live on your device by default.
What data the app stores
The app stores media items, progress logs, ratings, diary notes, category preferences, and related structured metadata in a local SQLite database and local preference storage on your device.
When external services are contacted
External requests happen when you choose to search for or import metadata. Those lookups currently rely on public services such as TVmaze, Jikan, Open Library, iTunes, and Wikidata. Imported metadata is then stored as part of your local item data.
Optional iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, Yore can save your library data and diary images to your private iCloud/CloudKit database so your data can sync between your devices. iCloud sync is optional and the app remains usable when it is off.
Diagnostics and purchases
Yore includes Sentry for crash and error reporting. When diagnostic events are sent, Sentry processes technical information and error context needed to identify and fix reliability issues. If you purchase or restore Full Access, Apple and RevenueCat process purchase and entitlement information so the app can provide the upgrade. These services are not used for advertising or behavioral profiling.
What Yore does not require
The core app does not depend on a mandatory account just to maintain your personal media history. It is not built around public posting or a social activity feed.
Website analytics
The Yore website loads an analytics script from analytics.montalesi.dev to measure website usage. This website analytics is separate from the app and does not receive your media library, logs, or diary entries.
